Existing Home Sales Data September 2019
The average sale price for existing homes in Lancaster County Nebraska during September 2019 was $233,272; this is up slightly from last September average of $214,736 which is a 8.6% of change from last year.
There were 457 existing homes to hit the market in Lancaster county during September 2019, 351 of these were $129,999 or less, down from 372 in this price range during September 2018. The median days on market for this price range was 5 days in September 2019 and in September 2018 the median days on market was 7 days.
There were 535 new listings in the $130,000.00 to $185,999 price range, down from 528 a year ago. The median days on market for homes in this price range in September 2019 was 4 days on market as compared to 5 days on market in September 2018.
There were 662 new listings in the $186,000 to $288,999 price range, down from 544 a year ago. The median days on market for homes in this price range in September 2019 was 5 days on market as compared to 9 days on market in September 2018. In this price range there was 1.4 months supply in September 2019 versus 1.6 months September 2018.
In the $289,000 and more segment there were 546 new listings to hit the market in September 2019. This was up from September 2018 as there was 501 new listings in this range. The average days on market in September 2019 for this price range was 15 days on market compared to 19 days on market in September 2018.
There is approximately 1.8 months of total existing inventory available (all price points combined), homes are averaging 6 days on market before being sold, and sellers are getting 100% of their original asking price.
New Construction-
In September 2019 there was 88 complete, never occupied new construction homes that hit the market. In September 2018 there was 78. The average price per square foot of new construction homes in September 2019 was approximately $191.00. In comparison the average price per square foot was $195.00. The average days on market for all new construction homes was 31 in September 2019 as compared to 72 days on market in September 2019.
