A holiday tradition shines on
Experience something real as you plug into the peace of a winter’s night and stroll in the glow of a cherished holiday tradition – tens of thousands of white LED lights strung throughout Turner Park and along Farnam Street.
Reconnect with the wonder of the holidays, reflect and look ahead – all at your own pace. Visit our beautifully-decorated tree in Farnam Court, and top the experience with dinner, drinks and dessert. Santa’s Magic at Omaha Children’s Museum

November 26 – December 23, 2021

Santa is returning to OCM, bringing a little holiday magic with him. Santa’s Magic is a short, live performance featuring Santa Claus, elves and an animatronic Rudolph. There will be indoor snowfall, silly moments, and a message from the Snow Queen. The show is included with regular museum admission but due to limited seating, families should pick up a reserved ticket for their preferred showtime.

Following each performance, children can share their wish lists with Santa and get their picture taken with him.

Show times are 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. After the 3 p.m. show each day, Santa will remain in the exhibit to talk with any child who wishes to meet him!

 

It’s a Wonderful Life at The Rose Theater

A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Nov. 19 – Dec. 23, 2021

It just isn’t Christmas without A Christmas Carol! Experience Omaha’s favorite holiday tradition as Ebenezer Scrooge takes us on a life-changing journey to discover the true meaning of Christmas. Filled with stunning Victorian costumes, festive music and crisp, wintry sets, A Christmas Carol is a beautiful reminder of the power of redemption and the generosity that lies at the heart of the Christmas holiday.

Holiday Poinsettia Show at Lauritzen Gardens

November 20, 2021 through January 3, 2022
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day)

Thousands of poinsettias bursting with rich, vibrant color fill the floral display hall in a glowing tribute to the holidays during the spectacular holiday poinsettia show, Merry & Bright. In the center of it all, a magnificent and majestic 20-foot-tall poinsettia tree stands tall. Surrounded by festive foliage, glittering ornaments and the whir and whistle of model garden trains, this show evokes the warmest greetings of goodwill and cheer.

Add S’more joy to your visit by toasting a marshmallow at the fire pits in the Family Chill Zone. This gathering place gives families a place to relax, warm up, play games, and enjoy the winter weather. S’mores kits will be available for purchase at the front desk. Meet Santa’s Reindeer at Mulhalls

Nov. 24 – Dec. 19

  • Dasher and Dancer will arrive on Wednesday, November 24th and are available to visit anytime during store hours until they leave again on Sunday, December 19th.

Light Up Bellevue: Christmas in Old Towne Holiday Lights and Music Show

Light Up Bellevue is pleased to announce that the 2021 Christmas in Olde Towne Holiday Lights and Music Show will begin on Thanksgiving evening and run through Saturday, January 8, 2022.
There will not be a large kick off event due to an abundance of caution but please feel free to drive down to Washington Park in Bellevue to enjoy the Light Show from your car or walk through the park if weather allows.
Don’t forget that Light Up Bellevue will once again join the Bellevue Community Foundation to host the 2nd Christmas in Olde Towne Holiday Drive- Thru event on Saturday, December 4th from 5pm to 7:30pm. This Drive – Thru event will give parents, grandparents and children the opportunity to see Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy the Holiday Light & Music Show at Washington Park all without having to leave the comfort and safety of your car.

 

Christmas at Union Station

NOVEMBER 26, 2021 – JANUARY 9, 2022

Time to trim the tree, bake some cookies, wrap those presents and, of course, visit The Durham Museum! Christmas at Union Station, presented by FNBO, is back for another year of festive fun. The magic of Christmas continues at The Durham Museum and we hope you will join us! This long-standing tradition features Omaha’s official Christmas tree, holiday concerts and Santa himself.
